Crowbar hit sound is always same as if you hit metal.Music tracks stop playing after level transitions.Footstep, button and door sounds are inconsistent with HL1.In the fourth room the portal ball projectiles send you to, jumping to the teleporter in the ceiling may result in the player being teleported back into the same room instead of the Nihilanth pit.When walked over, they bounce after you're off them. It uses models/w_squeak.mdl instead of models/w_sqknest.mdl. The snark pickup uses the wrong model.This was only active in HL1's multiplayer. Umlauts like 'Г¤,Г¶ & Гј' do not exist in the German Version of Half-Life Source.Instead of through the multiplayer tab in the original game, the only way to change the playermodel is through the console because the option to change playermodel on settings are broken.

Why does the easel weapons in 'crossfire' not work when the easel weapons in other maps work perfectly fine? It is unknown why it does this. What's weird is that the easel weapons in other maps work.

In 'crossfire', one of the most famous multiplayer Half-Life maps, the easel weapons doesn't work at all.

This is noticeable when you break the glass, picking up health kits or something else. All of the maps entities are all duplicated.Besides that, ragdolls in Half-Life: Source were actually much better and felt like actual creatures instead of poorly made dolls. Terrible, broken ragdolls that can be considered as the worst ragdolls ever made, as they fall in many ridiculous poses.The explosive packages and snarks can only be used after the animation is played when changing weapons.The revolver is pretty much broken, as it does little damage to the player at all.Due to lack of improvements, the only reason you would want to get this over the original is if you want to port Half-Life content to other Source games like Garry's Mod, Portal to play it with the Portal Gun or Left 4 Dead if you want to play it with the infected.For some odd reason, the port uses a fanmade HD texture pack instead of the official one from Gearbox.Both versions are the same price on Steam. There is no cost trade-off for the reduced performance and limited assets compared to the original.In some cases, this led to the graphics actually looking worse in the re-release. The graphics from the original game were re-used poorly, often given only minor adjustments during porting.Also, it's possible to stun-lock alien grunts at close range by beating them to death with a crowbar!.marines can finally gun down Barnacles rather than ignoring their tongues and get eaten alive. The NPC's AI is downgraded in comparison to the original version, even though the security guards and H.E.C.U.There is also a major graphical glitch in the 'c2a4c' map (as a result of the 2013 update), rendering the game virtually unplayable unless the multi-core rendering setting is turned off.The crowbar makes a metal-on-metal striking sound even when hitting wooden objects.It is (rather infamously) possible to take down an Apache helicopter with a few Glock 17 rounds.The shading gives some weapons a plastic toy appearance.Some NPCs, such as the Black Mesa Security Guards, shows a chrome-like visual effect on their models.It suffers from numerous glitches, which worsened when the game transitioned to Source 2013 in the SteamPipe update.Of course, it's possible to make maps for the game if you manage to configure it properly.

It does nothing to demonstrate the power of the Source engine, other than showing that it's possible to port games and mods from the GoldSrc engine.

Opposing Force, Blue Shift and including Decay didn't get their own ports.

It's almost exactly the same as the original, except for largely inconsequential additions like ragdoll physics, replacing the skyboxes with 3D versions and improved lighting.
